Darcie Sorensen, MPAS, PA-C
Darcie Sorensen was born and raised in Alaska. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Eastern Oregon University. She the obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Prior to graduate school she worked as firefighter/paramedic for the Anchorage Fire Department. She joined Anchorage Neurosurgical Associates in 2009 and works primarily with Dr. Timothy Cohen. Darcie is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Jennifer McGrath, MSN, ANP, FNP-BC
Jennifer graduated from the School of Nursing at the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 1994. After graduating, Jennifer worked as a Registered Nurse at a local hospital on their orthopedic and spine unit. She went on to obtain her Orthopedic Registered Nurse Certification in 2004, and after 12 years of working as a Registered Nurse she pursued her Master’s of Science Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
After graduation, Jennifer began working in Family Practice and later branched out into neurosurgery. She has been working for Anchorage Neurosurgical Associates, Inc. in July 2013. Jennifer enjoys working with patients in need of low back and neck care. She currently works with both Dr. Kralick and Dr. Bernard.
Jennifer has a passion for health and fitness, and in her spare time, she instructs various fitness classes. In 2010, Jennifer published an article in the Journal of Advanced Nursing on the study of health related quality of life in participants of various group fitness classes. She has experienced and learned the need for maintaining one’s health and fitness when it comes to optimum surgical and medical outcomes.
Kacie Tempel, MMS, PA-C
Born and raised in Bozeman, MT, Kacie completed her Bachelor’s degree at Montana State University. She went on to graduate with a Masters degree in Medical Science, Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Prior to graduate school she worked as a CNA and was a firefighter/EMT. She moved to Alaska in 2013 and began working with the company. She works primarily with Dr. Louis Kralick. Kacie resides in Alaska with her husband and enjoys skiing and camping in the vast outdoors.
Audrey Kelley, BCHS, PA-C
Audrey was born and raised in Anchorage. She obtained a double Bachelors degree at UAA, with an emphasis on neuroscience. She attended the University of Washington’s MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant program at their Anchorage campus. Audrey is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed through the state of Alaska. She joined the practice in 2016 and works primarily with Dr. Benjamin Rosenbaum. Audrey’s interests includes outdoor adventures with her pack of dogs, fishing the Kenai River, snowboarding, and finding her next book to read.
Sophie Walsh, MPAS, PA-C
Sophie was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She studied Kinesiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant studies at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. Sophie is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed in the state of Alaska. She moved back to Alaska in the fall of 2016 to join the team at Anchorage Neurosurgical, primarily working with Dr. Estrada Bernard. Sophie enjoys racing triathlons, fishing in Seward in the summer, and spending time in Alaska’s mountains.
Jennifer Hermanson, MPAS, PA-C
Jennifer was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She graduated with a bachelors degree in biology from Valparaiso University in Northwest Indiana. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. Jennifer moved to Alaska and joined the practice in 2017 and works primarily with Dr. Louis Kralick. She enjoys traveling, hiking and exploring new places with her dog.
Ksenia Sokolova, PA-C
Ksenia was born and raised in Kaliningrad, Russia. She graduated from Saint-Petersburg State Medical University in 2005. After moving to Alaska in 2006, Ksenia worked as a surgical technologist at Alaska Regional Hospital. She completed the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program and obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Health Science from the University of Washington in 2017. After graduation, Ksenia joined Anchorage Neurosurgical Associates. She enjoys many outdoor activities like fishing, hiking and skiing, as well as many sports: basketball, swimming and martial arts.
